my journey.

I’m a firm believer in going with the flow of life- and it’s taken me down some very cool paths- from athlete, artist, student in Paris, Advertising Account Executive, English teacher in Spain, to yoga teacher, painter, writer, and thai bodyworker. I received my B.A. in Advertising, with a minor in Psychology, from SMU. With my business hat in hand, I jumped right into the wonderful world of advertising as an Account Executive working on The Home Depot Canada account in Dallas, TX.

After 3 years, I decided the corporate world just wasn’t me anymore- something was missing. I was tired of telling myself, "I'll be happy when _____" and decided to make decisions based only on what would make me happy at that present moment. No 1-year, 5-year, or 10-year life plans, I was ready for the "right now" plan. So I asked myself, what do I love now? The answer was travel. So I sold all of my stuff, packed my bags, and moved to Spain to teach English. I traveled all over the place- through Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria but the most important traveling I did was within myself.

Through yoga, mediation, and writing, I was able to finally quiet my mind, let go of the past, and truly live in the moment. I found that inner peace that I’d heard so much about, but never truly experienced. And in that quiet place- I could actually hear “me.” I was in a backbend in my mom's yoga class when I had the epiphany, "I'm going to be a yoga teacher." I said, "Ok, that's it." It wasn't some crazy deep voice screaming at me from above accompanied by a thunderbolt of lightning... but my own voice that was filled with pure certainty.
Life has taken quite a beautiful shift ever since and I’m thrilled to share it with the world through my yoga, art, and writing.

Teaching children English in Spain has fueled my passion for working with kids. Maybe it’s because their energy and enthusiasm spark the “kiddy” inside of me, the freedom to let myself play. I feel called to help kids find their creative selves- whether it be through yoga, creative movement, art, or writing.

I now enjoy living my passions - each day is truly more beautiful than the last. I share my yoga and creativity through private & small group sessions, workshops, and retreats in the Dallas area to students of all ages, shapes, and levels.Thai bodywork (assisted yoga stretches & massage), reflexology, aromatherapy, art, and writing are often blended into classes. Each student has taught me to continue to follow my heart; they are the true teachers. I am also enthusiastically writing and illustrating my first kids yoga book, Yoga Flowga.

So let yourself play. Let yourself love. Let yourself be…you!
