artistic journey.

Creative
Yogini, Bethany Webb, is an Artist, Yoga Teacher, and Thai Bodyworker
in Dallas, TX. As a child, she always loved to draw, dance, and play.
At the age of 10, she received her first "official" commission when a
family friend asked her to paint the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on a
hockey stick.
A
yogini for now over 10 years, Bethany took her yoga practice to the
canvas in 2007, when she discovered someone had left a bag of painting
materials in her attic. "I was reading Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way and
painting was always on my list of things to do. When all of the
materials literally came from "up above" into my hands, I took that as
a hint from the universe and picked up a paint brush. Without any
formal training, I just made it all up, and immediately felt this huge
connection to my inner child. I remember feeling as if I just woke up
some creative creature inside of me!"
Paintings
began to flow through her and within a year, she was asked to do her
first art show. "We really do live in a kind universe; everything has
been handed to me without any effort. Now that I'm open to seeing the
world in this way, it's just one synchronicity after another." Inspired
by yoga, nature, and spirit, Bethany uses an intuitive approach when
painting which allows her to let go of the future and remain present.
As a result, her work is very eclectic and spiritual, leaving the
interpretation or experience up to the viewer.
Bethany is now excited to share her passions by teaching Yoga & Art Playshops
that combine yoga, meditation, and artistic play. "Just like yoga, art
teaches me how to be present and loving to myself. It heals me on every
level. This experience is available to anyone who is open to it."
